Nationals vs. Cardinals Best Bets

Thursday, September 9, 2022 - 1:15PM ET

PICK: Corey Dickerson Over 1.5 Total Bases +132

The St. Louis Cardinals finalize their 4 game series with the Washington Nationals in a matinee today at Busch Stadium. That makes this a good time to claim Dimers' exclusive BetMGM get $20 free + a risk-free bet up to $1,000 offer, just for signing up with their world-class sportsbook. You can find that offer ➡️ here ⬅️.

The Cardinals won 2 of the first 3 games of the series by scores of 4-1 and 6-5 last night. Washington took game 1 by a 6-0 count.

The Cardinals remain atop the National League Central and have a 9.5 game lead on the Milwaukee Brewers. The Nationals have been bad all year and after the Soto/Bell trades, have committed to a full rebuild. Today they start their most talented pitcher Josiah Gray.

The Right Hander is 7-9 on the season with a 4.91 ERA and a 1.34 WHIP. He has actually been better on the road this year as he is 5-2 with a 3.64 ERA and a 1.19 WHIP. In very limited action, one Cardinal hitter has had success against Gray and that is Corey Dickerson.

Lifetime, the Cards left hander is 2/2 against Gray with a double and a home run. Gray throws primarily Fastball/Curveball to Left handed hitters. Against the Fastball, Dickerson is hitting .299 with an ISO of .149. Against the Curveball, Dickerson is hitting .400 with an ISO of .250.

Since the All-Star break, Corey is hitting .407 with 11 extra base hits. Overall, he is hitting .305 against right handers and Gray has an opponent batting average of .283 to left handed hitters.

I like Dickerson to eclipse his total bases prop today as the Cards look for the series win, so I bet Corey Dickerson Over 1.5 Total Bases (+132) with BetMGM ➡️ here ⬅️ and claim an awesome new customer bonus while you're at it.
