The Philadelphia Phillies continue their 3 game series with the Washington Nationals tonight, at Citizens Bank Park.
The Phills took Game 1 last night by a 5-3 count, highlighted by a Home Run by Rhys Hoskins, which cashed both Dimers total bases plays. Tonight, I am turning to Bryce Harper.
The reigning National League MVP returned from a hand injury on August 26th and has had trouble finding consistency. Harper is hitting .262 during that span with only 3 extra base hits, which are all doubles.
Harper Has not hit a Home Run since June 9th at Milwaukee but I think he has a very good chance of snapping out of his funk tonight against Nationals Right Hander Eric Fedde.
Harper is 9/18 lifetime against him with a Double and 5 Home Runs. Harper hasn't faced Fedde this season but went 5/7 against him last season with 3 Home Runs.
Fedde throws primarily 3 pitches to Left Handed hitters and they are Cutter, Sinker, Curveball. Below are Harper's Avg/ISO against those pitches:
