Nationals vs. Phillies Best Bets
Sunday, September 4, 2022 - 1:05PM ET
PICK: J.T. Realmuto Over 1.5 Total Bases (+120)
PICK: J.T. Realmuto 3+ Total Bases (+200)
The Philadelphia Phillies look to sweep the Washington Nationals as the teams conclude their 3 game series today at Citizens Bank Park, making this a good time to get in on our exclusive BetMGM offer ➡️ here ⬅️ where you get $20 free and a risk-free bet up to $1,000 if you're a new customer.
The Phils took the first two games by scores of 5-3 and 8-5 and have jumped ahead of the San Diego Padres into the 2nd National League Wild Card spot.
I have picked on the Nationals pitching staff all week as I've hit ladder total bases plays with Hoskins on Friday night and Harper last night (both homered).
Not to beat a dead horse, but when it's profitable then beat away, I am going to do it again today with Phillies catcher J.T. Realmuto. Washington will send Anibal Sanchez to the bump today and J.T. has had success against the right hander.
In his career, Realmuto is 7/14 vs Sanchez with 2 Doubles and 2 Home Runs. In his last 3 home games against the Nats, Realmuto has accumulated base totals of 8, 7 and 6. He has cleared 1.5 total bases in 15 of his last 30 games and has cleared 3+ in 12 of those games.
Sanchez throws Fastball/Sinker/Cutter/Changeup to right handed hitters. Below you will see how Realmuto has hit those pitches this season:
Fastball -.301 AVG/.301 ISO
Sinker - .301 AVG/.086 ISO
Cutter - .375 AVG/.375 ISO
Changeup - .300 AVG/.125 ISO
The power numbers are erratic but he hits Sanhez's pitches very well as evidenced by his +.300 average against all four.
It is a gloomy day in Philadelphia today with rain on and off but they should get this game in.
I'll back Realmuto and ladder his total bases as we look to go 3/3 this weekend betting against the Nationals and their bad pitching staff, so bet J.T. Realmuto Over 1.5 Total Bases (+120) and J.T. Realmuto 3+ Total Bases (+200) with BetMGM ➡️ here ⬅️ and claim an awesome new customer bonus while you're at it - including a $20 free bet, just for signing up!
