The Phils took a 2-1 extra inning thriller last night as they were able to outlast Max Sherzer. Tonight, Aaron Nola toes the rubber and this is a very important start for the Phillies' right hander.
Nola is having a fine bounceback season as he is 8-8 with a 3.17 ERA and a .095 WHIP. On the road he has an ERA of 2.25 and a WHIP of 0.96. In previous seasons Nola has had August/September struggles so this is an opportunity to make a statement against the first place Mets.
