Opening week continues tonight as the Columbus Blue Jackets visit the Carolina Hurricanes, in a Metropolitan division tilt at PNC Arena. Both teams have increased expectations this season as the Blue Jackets added winger Johnny Gaudreau in free agency. Johnny Hockey had a career year with the Flames last season as he registered 40 goals and 115 points.
The Canes, who are perennial Stanley Cup contenders, are coming off a disappointing 2nd round loss to the New York Rangers last season, which they lost in Game 7 at home.
