Capitals vs. Blackhawks Best Bets

PICK: Washington Capitals 3-Way (-125)

The streaking Washington Capitals visit the slumping Chicago Blackhawks tonight, in a battle of teams heating in opposite directions.

The Capitals are 14-12-4 on the season and are winners of 4 straight and 7 of their last 10. This streak has coincided with the return of TJ Oshie who has helped Washington’s depth issues.

The Caps are averaging 3.1 goals per game during that 10 game span and are allowing 2.2 goals per game.

Caps starting goaltender Darcy Keumper is injured so Charlie Lindgren is their likely starter. Lindgren has performed well this season as he sports a .910 save percentage with a 2.79 goals against average.

After a quick start to the season, the Chicago Blackhawks have lost 9 of their last 10 games. They are averaging 2.2 goals per game during that span and allowing 4.4 goals per game.

Petr Mrazek is set to start in net tonight for Chicago, who has a .884 save percentage this season. Surprisingly, the Hawks beat Washington in both meetings last season.

I don’t see that happening tonight so I’ll back the Caps to win in regulation as they should continue their hot streak, so bet Washington Capitals 3-Way (-125) with BetMGM.
