Hurricanes vs. Sharks Best Bets
Friday, October 14, 2022 - 10:30PM ET
PICK: Carolina Hurricanes 3 Way (-120)
PICK: Brent Burns Over 2.5 SOG (+120)
The San Jose Sharks return from their Prague trip to open their home season tonight as they host the Carolina Hurricanes at the SAP center. BetMGM will give new users $200 when they register an account ➡️ here ⬅️ and then simply place a $10 money line bet on any team. From there you will score $200 in free bets as soon as there's a goal.
The Sharks dropped both games overseas to the Nashville Predators to begin what will most likely be a difficult season. After a slow start, the Hurricanes defeated the Columbus Blue Jackets by a score of 4-1 in their opener on Wednesday night.
The Hurricanes put 43 shots on net against the Jackets and Freddie Anderson stopped 31 shots. Carolina is one of the most relestneess teams in the National Hockey League and they are also one of the best defensive teams.
As we saw with the Predators loss to Dallas last night, the Sharks may not have their legs as they return from Prague. I think Carolina's depth will be too much for San Jose to overcome and I'll back the Canes to win this bout in regulation.
After 11 seasons as a Shark, Brent Burns will make his return to San Jose. Burns is still one of the premier offensive defenseman in the league and he will fit in perfectly with this Carolina team.
Burns fired 6 shots on net in the opener on a ridiculous 13 attempts. Burns will want to continue to put pucks on net as he faces his former team.
I'll take him to go over 2.5 shots on goal at plus, money, so bet Carolina Hurricanes 3 Way (-120) and Brent Burns Over 2.5 SOG (+120) with BetMGM.
