The Jets are 1-1 on the season as they suffered a 4-1 loss in Dallas on Monday night. Colorado is 2-1 on the season and are off a 6-3 win in Minnesota on Monday night.
The Jets should be a better defensive team this season under Rick Bowness but they have a tall task against the run and gun Avalanche. Winnipeg will need their top players to step up in the game.
One I am targeting is Nikolaj Ehlers to eclipse his shot on goal prop. In 2 games this season, Ehlers has 7 shots on goal which may not seem a lot but he has 19 attempts, including 10 in Dallas.
In 3 games against Colorado last season, Ehlers hit this mark in 2 of them and totaled 15 shots on 23 attempts. Ehlers also hit this mark in 16 of 29 home games last season.
Winnipeg will most likely be trailing in this game and will have to push the pace, both Ehlers and Kyle Connor are solid options but I am opting for Ehlers at a slightly higher price than Connor's +105, especially with the volume Nickolaj has shown through the first 2 games of the season.
