The Los Angeles Kings conclude their 6 game road trip as they visit the Boston Bruins tonight at TD Garden.
The Kings are 2-2-1 thus far on the trip and are off one of the oddest games of their season. L.A. dropped a 6-0 decision to the Sabres in Buffalo on Tuesday night, a game which was scoreless into the 3rd period.
The Kings have had a tough time allowing goals all season as they are giving up 3.6 goals per game, which is 5th most in the league. They have not gotten any semblance of goaltending this year as they have a team save percentage of .875.
The Kings also have the 5th worst Penalty Kill in the league this season, which is not an ideal matchup tonight. On the road this season, where Overs are 11-7, Los Angeles is averaging 3.1 goals per game and they are allowing 3.7.
The Boston Bruins stayed hot as they defeated the New York Islanders 4-3 in a shootout on Tuesday night. Boston's home record went to 15-0-1 after that win.
The B's have surprised many this season as new coach Jim Montgomery has rejuvenated this bunch. Boston is averaging 3.8 goals per game, which is 2nd best in the league, and they are allowing 2.1, which is the lowest in the NHL.
Their Power Play is a 3rd best 28% on the season and should feast on this L.A. Penalty Kill. At home this season, where Overs are 7-7-2, they are averaging 3.8 goals per game and allowing 3.1 per game.
