Sabres vs. Blue Jackets Best Bets

Wednesday, December 7, 2022 - 7:30PM ET

PICK: Dylan Cozens Over 2.5 SOG (-106)

PICK: Jacob Chychrun Over 3.5 SOG (+105)

I am targeting 2 player props for tonight's Wednesday night NHL action.

First let's take a look at the Buffalo Sabres as they visit the Columbus Blue Jackets, where Sabres Centerman Dylan Cozens will be my frist target. Cozens is 5th on the Sabres in shot attempts and 4th in shots on goal. He has performed better on the road as he has hit his shot on goal prop in 6 of 10 games, including each of the last 4 where he has collected 18 shots on goal on 25 attempts.

Cozens draws a fantastic matchup as the Blue Jackets are allowing 35 shots per game at home, which is 4th most in the league, and they are on a back to back after playing in Pittsburgh last night. As an added benefit, Cozens centers Buffalo's first Power Play Unit and the Jackets have been shorthanded the 8th most times among home teams. I like Cozens to continue his recent play and hit this mark.

Next up is the Coyotes, who are visiting the Oilers tonight. My look in that game is Coyotes Defensemen, Jacob Chychrun. Due to injury, Chychrun began his season on November 21st and has accumulated at least 4 shots on goal in 4 of the 7 games he has played, averaging 4.4 shots per game and 7.9 attempts per game.

Jacob is off a lackluster outing against Calgary where he only registered 1 shot but he has a fantastic opportunity to get back on track tonight against the Oilers, who are allowing 10.3 shots on goal to defensemen this season, which is 4th most in the league. I'll take a plus money price for this matchup tonight.

So bet Dylan Cozens Over 2.5 SOG (-106) and Jacob Chychrun Over 3.5 SOG (+105) with BetMGM
