Sabres vs. Senators Best Bets

Wednesday, November 16, 2022 - 7:00PM ET

PICK: Buffalo Sabres at Ottawa Senators Over 6.5 (-122)

PICK: Tim Stutzle Over 2.5 SOG (+105)

The Buffalo Sabres visit the Ottawa Senators tonight as they begin a 3 game Canadian road trip.

The Sabres are on a back to back after a 5-4 home loss last night to Vancouver. Buffalo is 7-9 on the season but they are sputtering as they have now lost 6 in a row.

On the road this season, the Sabres are averaging 3.6 goals per game, which is 7th best in the league, and their Power Play is 13th best at 22%.

Defensively, Buffalo is allowing 3.5 goals per game on the road, which is 9th most and their Penalty Kill is 5th worst at 70%.

After a 4-2 start to the season, the Senators are also sputtering as they have lost 8 of their last 9 games and sit at 5-9-1 on the season.

The Sens are dealing with Injuries to 2 key players in Josh Norris and Thomas Chabot. At home this season, Ottawa is averaging 3.9 goals per game, which is 3rd best in the league and their Power Play is 21%, which is middle of the pack.

Defensively the Sens are allowing 3.5 goals per game at home, which is 9th worst and the Penalty Kill is 6th worst at 71%. I think both teams should be able to get their offenses going in this game and I can easily see a 3-3 score.

I am also going to add a Player Prop in Ottawa forward Tim Stutzle to go over his shot on goal prop. Stutzle has been hot lately as he has hit this mark in 5 of his last 6 games totaling 21 shots on 39 attempts in that span.

This has coincided with increased Ice time (due to the Norris injury) as he has averaged 23 minutes of Ice time which is a big increase from his 18 minute per game time on ice over the previous 9 games.

He also draws a fantastic matchup as the Sabres are allowing 34 shots per game on the road this season, which is 11th most in the league.

I expect Tim to be involved tonight and will gladly take this, at plus money, so bet Sabres at Senators Over 6.5 (-122) and Tim Stutzle Over 2.5 SOG (+105) with BetMGM
