PICK: Wild at Ducks Over 6 (-120)
The Minnesota Wild continue their 3 game road trip as they visit the Anaheim Ducks tonight at Honda Center.
The Wild are on a back to back after a 1-0 loss to the Los Angeles Kings last night. Minnesota sits at 5-6-1 on the season as they have had a tough time finding consistency.
The Wild have struggled to score on the road this season as they are only averaging 2.3 goals per game. They have always been a team that scores more goals at home.
Minnesota is also allowing the least goals per game on the road this season, at only 2.1 per game. With that said, I am looking at an over tonight as the Ducks have just been terrible defensively.
Anaheim is 4-8-1 on the season, which can be attributed to their defense. The Ducks are allowing a league high 4.6 goals per game and 40 shots per game, which is also the highest mark in the league.
The Ducks Penalty Kill has also been atrocious as they are a 2nd worst 63% on the man disadvantage. The Ducks also lead the league in high danger scoring chances against at 231, which is 30 more than the next team.
Anaheim has been able to sustain offense at home this season where they are averaging 3.5 goals per game and Totals of 6 are 3-0-1 in their 4 home games this year.
Filip Gustavsson is the likely starter in net for the Wild, who has a .878 Save Percentage and a 3.93 Goals against average this year. The Ducks will likely counter with John Gibson, who has a .887 Save Percentage and a 4.52 Goals against average this season.
You could make a case for the Wild team Total over but I'd rather play the Over 6 as I think both teams should be able to fill the net tonight, so bet Wild at Ducks Over 6 (-120) with BetMGM
