After finally trading for Patrick Kane, the New York Rangers will make the short trip to Philadelphia to face the Flyers tonight at Wells Fargo Center.
Kane won't play until tomorrow but New York still has plenty of firepower. The Rangers broke a three game losing streak with a 5-2 home win against the Los Angeles Kings on Sunday.
New York looks to be on a collision course with the New Jersey Devils in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs as they are third in the Metropolitan division with a seven-point lead on the New York Islanders.
They trail New Jersey by seven points for home ice advantage. The Rangers are getting a Philly team that is running on fumes right now.
The Flyers have been competitive all season under first year coach John Tortorella but they have struggled lately.
Philly has lost eight of 10 since the break, including the last three. Five of those losses have come by multiple goals.
The Flyers are missing forward Travis Konecny, who leads the team in goals and points and is their most creative player.
I don't see the Flyers being able to keep up with the Rangers here as they have scored four goals over their last three games.
