For the Royals, they've also been dealing with the left-handers well in recent times. In their past ten outings, they've averaged 3.60 runs per game against lefties in comparison to 2.78 runs per game against the right-handers. The logic is there, the value is there - it's just up to Kansas City to take advantage of a golden opportunity.

This afternoon it'll be Blake Snell to take over proceedings on the mound for San Diego and while it's been hard to get a read on him this season with some inconsistent play, the Padres need to put the foot on the throat against one of the league's easybeats.

They're taking a risk tonight though with Reid Detmers making his second career start, looking to make amends for his debut horrorshow last week against the Athletics where he gave up 6 runs in just four innings pitched. The former No. 10 pick should be better for the experience, but it's a monumental task to come up against the reigning World Series champs. Our data has him bouncing back enough to keep this one Under with Dodgers pitcher Walker Buehler no doubt looking to keep his impressive form rolling with his current ERA sitting at 2.16 through 22 starts this season.
