Tigers vs. Cardinals
BET: Tigers at the moneyline with PointsBet (+135)

Our data projections is starting off the day with an underdog play, taking Detroit to continue to pummel the slumping Cardinals at Busch Stadium. The Tigers got the win last night, getting by on a 4-3 scoreline, and even despite the plus money odds, they look like good things to try and go 2-0 on St. Louis in as many days. Jon Lester will be on the mound for the Cardinals and he'll need to sharpen up. Over his last four starts he's given up a total of 15 runs from just 19 innings pitched. If Detroit take advantage of the first five innings, they'll power on to win.

Royals vs. Astros
BET: Total runs UNDER 8.5 with PointsBet (+100)
This will be the eighth time that the Royals and Astros play this month, and the third time in this midweek series, and runs have been tough to come by. The Over/Under record sits at 1-4-2 through those games and even though starting Royals pitcher Mike Minor's ERA of 5.34 may look like something of a deterrent, he has been more economical lately, hitting the Under in five of his last six starts. Houston are a little down on left-handers lately, averaging just 3.82 per nine innings in their last ten games, compared with an overall season figure of 6.19. With those struggles, paired with Houston who rank fourth in the league for run defense, and it makes sense that the trend of Unders will continue.

Rockies vs. Cubs (Game 1 of DH)
BET: Rockies at the moneyline with PointsBet (-125)
The struggling Cubbies were able to get a win on the board last night against the Rockies in their series opener, but they'll face some harder opposition today when they meet the left-handed Austin Gomber on the mound for Colorado for the first game in their Wednesday double header. Chicago have been bad against left-handed starters, going winning only five of their last 26 games against one.
Unfortunately, the news doesn't get too much better for the Cubs with their starting ace, Zach Davies in some terrible form, sporting a 7.07 ERA over his last three starts.
