Red Sox vs. Yankees, 1:05PM ET

After yesterday's rain delay, the greatest rivalry in sports gets back underway on Friday with the Yankees looking to exact revenge on the Red Sox who eliminated them from the postseason last year. The Yankees look good on paper but continually struggle to live up to the expectations set for them. Whether that happens again this year will be something we'll have to wait and see on, but for now, with Gerrit Cole (3.20 career ERA) getting the ball to start things off on the mound for New York, as well as Nathan Eovaldi on the opposite side for the Red Sox (3.75ERA in 2021), we're expecting this one to be a tense and tight affair to start the season with runs at a premium.

Marlins vs. Giants, 4:34PM ET

The Giants were criminally underrated last season and early indications of today's lines paint a similar picture today. Logan Webb gets the start for San Francisco and he proved to be a trusty hand last year, ending with a 11-3 winning record as a starter to emerge as one of the Giants best pitchers. Miami, who were only able to win 67 games last season, still have yet to build a roster that instils any optimism that this year will be different. Giants do this easy.

Mets vs. Nationals, 7:05PM ET

As we expected last night, the Mets and their batting stocks were more than enough to take care of the Nats on Opening Day. The surprising thing, however, was what they got back from Tylor Megill who kept Washington scoreless through his first start of the year. Starting Megill when you have the likes of Scherzer and de Grom at your disposal is the definition of keeping your powder dry, and for the Mets, it worked out perfectly. Tonight, with Scherzer getting his first start in the blue and orange, the opportunity is ripe for New York to heap the misery on the Nationals.
