For today's CBB prop picks and parlay, we're utilizing two features: our expansive projections hub that spotlights players on the verge of major statistical outbursts, and our CBB player props page, where players are identified with value to go over or under their lines.
We came up two Keaton Wagler points shy of sweeping our props on Thursday and we cashed another 3 out of 4 props on Friday night.
Here's what we like this evening:
1. David Mirkovic 15+ points (+128)
Game: Iowa vs. Illinois
Tip: 6:09 PM ET
First up, we'll go with Illinois top-projected scorer and our third-highest overall projection of the night, David Mirkovic.
For shorter odds, you can take Mirkovic to clear his regular points line of 13.5, but with our model projecting him for 17.0 vs. Iowa, and a 53.9% probability to clear his highest posted line of 15.5, we'll gladly take the plus money at 15+ points.
It's been a mixed bag in the tournament for Mirkovic, dropping 29 in a first-round blowout, before playing a tournament-low 24 minutes in the second and finishing with 7 points, and he turned in a 14-point performance over Houston in the Sweet Sixteen.
He's got a good chance to find success on Saturday night against an Iowa team that has allowed opponent standout performances of 25, 21, 19, 17, 16 and 15 through three games in the tournament.
2. Alvaro Folgueiras over 7.5 points (-125)
Game: Iowa vs. Illinois
Tip: 6:09 PM ET
On the other side of the matchup, we'll look at the Junior forward from Spain to stay hot in this tournament.
Alvaro Folgueiras gets a line of 7.5 points tonight and a Dimers model projection at 9.0, pointing to the over. In three games during March Madness, Folgueiras has come off the bench and dropped 14, 14, and 16 points, shooting an impressive 60.0% from the field and 41.7% from three.
If you think he stays as hot as he's been, you can take him for 10+ points at better plus-money odds, but his line of 7.5 is a lower entry point and backed directly by the projections.
Our top-projected scorers as seen in the Dimers App.
3. Brayden Burries over 16.5 points (-105)
Game: Purdue vs. Arizona
Tip: 8:49 PM ET
In the second game of the night, we're going right to our top-projected scorer across both games, Arizona star Brayden Burries.
Burries has 18, 16, and 23 points so far in this tournament, going right under this line, unsurprisingly, in the game he played the fewest minutes.
Tonight, we project Burries for 18.1 points vs. Purdue, going over his line of 16.5 points at nearly even money odds.
In the past two games, Purdue's top opposing scorer has dropped 18 and 29 points and that shouldn't change when they face the talented Burries in a high stakes game.
4. Fletcher Loyer 15+ points (-102)
Game: Purdue vs. Arizona
Tip: 8:49 PM ET
Finally, we'll back another player projected to clear their points line, with just slightly better odds by taking 15+ points (-102) instead of over 14.5 (-105) on FanDuel.
Fletcher Loyer has scored 14, 28 and 18 points through three games of the tournament, knocking down 4 threes in each game, only going under in a blowout when he played just 25 minutes - that won't be the case tonight.
If he can replicate that same beyond the arc production, he'll be right within striking distance of clearing this line once again.
Loyer's projection of 16.3 points is both favorable from our model and makes him a top four projected scorer of the night.
