King of the Court Picks Today, Tuesday, March 10

Each week, we'll highlight some of Dimers' top-projected players, as well as some longshots as a sample of what users can find in the Dimers Pro NBA Projections Hub.

By showcasing a combination of top performances and some darkhorse candidates, bettors will find a mix of players to choose from.

Dimers' Highest-Projected PRA Totals

Luka Doncic (Lakers) | Projected: 51.0 PRA

First up in today's projections is regular leader and now 5x winner Luka Doncic.

His PRA projection is on the high side, even for him, as the only player clearing 50 PRA in the Dimers Projections Hub.

None of that is a surprise though, as Luka has displayed the highest nightly ceiling of any player in the NBA and even though he took the third spot in last week's promo, has won nearly 1/3 of all King of the Court promos this season.

His 34.4 points and 8.5 assist rank 1st and 3rd in our projections respectively, pointing to big upside in those two categories.

Hell face the Timberwolves who don't have any glaring weaknesses, ranking middle of the pack against all three primary stat categories over their last 15 games.

One potential place to target Luka tonight could be threes - Minnesota ranks 2nd in attempts, but 28th in 3PT% over their past 15 games and Luka's 3.6 threes is our second-highest mark of the night.

Jalen Johnson (Hawks) | Projected: 44.8 PRA

Another player who's been featured in this article a number of time is Halen Johnson, who ranks second overall tonight with 44.8 PRA vs. the Mavericks.

Johnson seems like a victim of his biggest nights coming on the wrong days - he's hit huge PRA performances this year, backed by the second-most triple doubles in the NBA (11), but has only claimed the crown once, and he split it with Cooper Flagg, though he was our third-highest projected player that night.

He's had three games over 50 PRA since February began and probably has the best matchup of the players featured here tonight.

Defensively, Dallas ranks 26th in Points, 24th in rebounds and 30th in opponent assists over their L15 games and somehow, they are even worse vs. Forwards, ranking 30th or 29th in all three, and while Johnson isn't a big 3-pt shooter, they allow the most attempts to the position per game.

A Jalen Johnson triple double at +345 looks like a good entry play tonight with him projected for double digits in both.

Cade Cunningham (Pistons) | Projected: 41.6 PRA

Rounding out the top three is Cade Cunningham, leading off the next tier of players who project right around 40 PRA.

Cunningham came out of the All-Star Break on a heater with six straight double doubles and four games with 13+ assists, but has had a few up uncharacteristic moments mixed in, like a 10-point outing in a 4-point Cavs loss and just five total boards over his past two games, finding himself in a bit of foul trouble lately, with at least 5 in five of his L7 games.

The Pistons have dropped three straight and are staring at the Celtics chasing them down for the 1-seed and should be playing hard tonight against a basement-dwelling Nets team.

That doesn't mean the matchup will necessarily be easy however, as Brooklyn ranks Top 5 in the NBA vs. Guards over their L15 in all three PTS/REB/AST categories.

Cunningham's 10.3 assist projection is the highest of the night and would be our stat to target.

Dimers' Longshot Targets

We'll look just slightly down the board at two more players who land in our Top 10 overall with a chance to return a solid bonus bet.

Giannis Antetokounmpo (Bucks) | Projected: 40.0 PRA

It's not been the best season for Giannis Antetokounmpo who's been battling injuries and embroiled in pre-deadline trade drama, but since his latest return, he's been trending up each game.

We correctly picked him to snap his streak of scoring unders in his last game on Saturday, and our model paints him with Top 5 PRA upside tonight vs. the Suns.

In fact, the last time we featured Giannis in this article, he split the pot as our top overall projected player with Tyrese Maxey who was our top longshot (see winners table below).

His rebounds look like the play tonight as Phoenix ranks 27th in the NBA vs. opponent rebounds this season and his projection of 9.3 is the highest in this game by a full two boards over his next teammate (Bobby Portis), and three higher than the highest Suns player (Oso Ighodoro).

The Greek Freak's PRA totals have risen in three straight games since returning, and with another two days off, he could see his highest minutes total as well tonight.

Anthony Edwards (Timberwolves) | Projected: 37.3 PRA

We'll round it with a player who rarely could be considered a longshot, but lands eight overall in today's ranks.

Anthony Edwards is in rare company with Luka Doncic and Paolo Banchero as a multi-King of the Court winner this season, most recently pacing the whole slate last Tuesday with 49 PRA and returning a $185 bonus bet.

That's pretty impressive, considering that while he's a Top 3 scorer in the NBA, his complementary rebound and assist numbers rank 81st and 64th respectively, which correlates with his two King of the Court wins coming off 44 and 41-point performances.

While we project him for 28.7 points, that stands out as both our second-highest of the entire night, and behind only Luka Doncic who he will be playing head-to-head, which could elevate his play.

His ranking feels appropriate though, as the Lakers' defense ranks Top 10 vs. Guards over their L15, and haven't allowed a 30-point game since three-straight coming out of the break.
