Our model reveals both an edge and favorable probability on each pitcher, telling us to trust in the elite arms as managers let their top pitchers set the tone on Opening Night.

Yankees vs. Giants prop bet: Max Fried over 15.5 outs recorded

Max Friend enters the season off an excellent debut with the Yankees in 2025, recording a 2.86 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and tying for the fourth-most innings pitched alongside his teammate Carlos Rodon.

Tonight, we get a substantial 62.5% probability for Fried to go over his best line of 15.5 outs at BetMGM Sportsbook - the only place you can find the line below 16.5

Bettors can go two ways on this bet - either take the better odds at the higher line, needing Fried to pitch 5.2 innings (17 outs), or take the shorter odds but higher probability for Fried to record 5.1 innings (16 outs).

Fried opened last season with 4.2 innings pitched, giving up 6 runs, but only 2 of those were earned due to multiple defensive errors, and it was another 8 starts before he went under 5.2 again.

He's recorded 5.1 IP in all but 1 of his nine starts vs. San Francisco.

With backtesting revealing a 23.8% improvement in ROI over last season's results, this looks like a great bet to get the season started.

Yankees vs. Giants prop bet: Logan Webb over 16.5 outs recorded

If you thought Max Friend was a workhorse, then you'll like to know that no one pitched more innings than Logan Webb in 2025.

Webb opened last season with 15 outs recorded, but regularly went 6 or more innings deep into games, with a 58.3% probability to pitch at least 5.2 innings tonight. This bet comes with a great edge on BetMGM at -115 as our fair odds would be -140.

We also project 17.5 outs for Webb, pointing to him pushing for 6.0 innings.

Webb has only faced the Yankees thrice in his career, recording 18+ outs in two starts. He's traditionally worse vs. lefties and the Yanks will send out a lefty-heavy lineup tonight, but Oracle Park is a pitcher-friendly stadium and the Bronx Bombers may have trouble taking advantage of Webb's vulnerabilities.

This game sets up a pitcher's duel between two of the league's best, and with our model projecting nearly a 50/50 split on the total runs at 7, sets up for a battle on the mound and an edge on each ace.
