College Basketball Odds, Lines, and Spreads
Men's college basketball odds today for every NCAA Division I matchup with a posted line, side by side with the sportsbooks we track. Our NCAA betting lines cover consensus lines and the best available price across moneyline, spread, and total markets.
College basketball betting lines and odds for today's games
College basketball betting lines vary from one sportsbook to the next. A road favorite might be -6.5 at one book and -7.5 at another. Games in smaller conferences tend to be priced later and by fewer sportsbooks, so on a Tuesday night in the Big Sky, a third book might not have a line at all.
The price matters just as much as the number. A spread priced at -115 needs to win 53.5% of the time to break even, while the same spread at -105 needs just 51.2%. Finding the better price yourself means checking every sportsbook app, game by game and market by market. And the first price you find isn't always the best one available.
Our College Basketball Odds board does the shopping for you. Each game appears on a single row, with the consensus line first, each sportsbook's price alongside it, and a trophy marking the best price for each team in each market. Switch between the moneyline, spread, and total, select your state, and view every price in American odds, decimal odds, or implied probability.
The entire CBB odds board is free to use. And if you'd rather go beyond line shopping, we've also built a machine learning model that prices every Division I game.
Our College Basketball Best Bets highlight prices where our model's projected probability exceeds the probability implied by the odds by enough to meet our threshold. Three picks are free every day, while Dimers Pro gives you access to every pick.
How to read our college basketball odds
Each row represents one game, with one market displayed at a time:
- Matchup: The two teams playing in the game.
- Consensus: The average line, price, and probability across the sportsbooks we track, giving you a quick sense of how the market as a whole views the game.
- Sportsbook columns: Each sportsbook's line and price for both teams, shown side by side for easy comparison.
- Trophy: The best available price for each team in each market, with one winner per side.
Three controls above the table let you customize the odds board:
- Market: Switch between the moneyline, spread, and total.
- State: Choose your state to see the sportsbooks available where you bet.
- Odds format: Display prices as American odds, decimal odds, or implied probability, making it easy to see the probability reflected in each price.
The trophy works a little differently in each market. On the moneyline, it marks the highest odds. On the spread, it highlights the most favorable line: +7.5 beats +6.5 for an underdog, while -6.5 beats -7.5 for a favorite. On totals, it marks the lowest line for the over and the highest line for the under. If two sportsbooks offer the same best line, the higher odds take the trophy.
Every game, market, and sportsbook on the odds board is free to access.
Understanding NCAA basketball odds and lines
NCAA basketball odds are prices that determine how much you can win on a successful bet relative to your stake. The implied probability shows how often a bet needs to win to break even. Here are the key terms you'll see on our NCAAB odds board:
- Market: The type of bet, such as the moneyline, spread, or total.
- Line: The number associated with a market, such as a -6.5 spread or a total of 145.5 points.
- Odds: The price attached to a line, which determines your potential profit for a given stake.
- Implied probability: The break-even probability built into the price. For example, odds of -110 imply a 52.4% break-even rate.
- The margin: When both sides are priced at -110, each implies a 52.4% probability, adding up to 104.8%. The extra 4.8% is the sportsbook's margin, also known as the vig or juice. It's why finding the same bet at a better price matters.
Our odds format switch lets you view the same price in three different ways. The following are example prices, not live lines:
- American odds: The standard format at U.S. sportsbooks. Negative odds show how much you need to stake to win $100 in profit, while positive odds show how much profit a $100 bet would earn. At -180, you'd need to stake $180 to win $100. At +150, a $100 bet would earn $150 in profit.
- Decimal odds: The total return for every $1 staked, including your original stake. Those same prices convert to 1.56 and 2.50, respectively. Multiply your stake by the decimal odds to calculate your total return.
- Probability: The break-even rate implied by the price. Odds of -180 imply a 64.3% probability, while +150 implies 40.0%. Together, they add up to 104.3%, with the 4.3% above 100% representing the sportsbook's margin.
Our odds calculator converts prices between all three formats and also translates odds into prediction market contract prices in cents.
College basketball spreads, moneylines, and totals
Our college basketball odds board covers the three main betting markets: moneylines, point spreads, and totals.
- Moneyline: Bet on which team wins, regardless of the margin. A heavy favorite in November might be priced at -1500 or shorter, meaning a $100 bet at -1500 would earn about $6.67 in profit.
- Spread: A points handicap that levels the playing field between two teams. A team at -6.5 must win by seven or more points for the bet to cash, while a team at +6.5 covers if it wins outright or loses by six points or fewer. Spreads tend to be widest in November and December, when nonconference mismatches can reach 20 points or more, before tightening up during conference play.
- Total: The combined points scored by both teams, also known as the over/under. At a total of 145.5, the over wins if the teams score 146 points or more, while the under wins at 145 or fewer. Men's college basketball is played in two 20-minute halves, and totals commonly fall in the 130s to 150s, so a number that looks low compared with an NBA total is normal.

How to shop college basketball lines
Comparing college basketball lines is easy when every price sits side by side. A few simple habits can help you get more value out of every bet:
- Look beyond the first price: An underdog priced at +210 at one sportsbook and +240 at another returns $210 or $240 in profit on the same $100 bet. That's $30 more for the same outcome.
- Pay attention to half points: A favorite at -4.5 instead of -5.5 turns a five-point win from a losing bet into a winner.
- Shop the total in both directions: The over benefits from the lowest line, while the under benefits from the highest, which is how the trophy identifies the best prices. An over at 141.5 gives you two more points of room than one at 143.5.
- Use the consensus as a reference: Switch to probability to compare each sportsbook's price with the consensus. A price that stands well apart from the market is worth a closer look before you make a decision.
- Expect fewer options on smaller games: Big-conference matchups typically attract lines from nearly every sportsbook. Low-major games may be priced by only a handful of books, sometimes later in the day. With fewer books competing, the gap between the best and worst prices can be wider.
Odds move throughout the day as injury news emerges and betting activity shifts. Our college basketball odds update throughout the day, every day, so the best price at noon may not be the best price by tip-off.
Men's March Madness odds
Once the field is set on Selection Sunday, our March Madness odds cover every men's NCAA tournament game a sportsbook has posted, from the Opening Round to the national championship game. March Madness lines work like the regular season's, with the moneyline, spread, and total for each game and the best price for each team marked.
Every tournament game is played on a neutral court, so home court plays no part in either team's price. NCAA tournament odds on a single game are a different bet from the odds to win the title.
For each team's chances of cutting down the nets, see our NCAA Championship Futures, and for our probability on every tournament game, see our College Basketball Predictions.

Responsible gambling
Line shopping usually means accounts at more than one sportsbook. Set one weekly bankroll that covers every account combined, and use deposit limits to keep the total inside it. A better price improves what a winning bet pays, but it doesn't make the bet any more likely to win. Only bet what you can afford to lose, and treat a loss as money spent rather than something to win back at the next tip.
If gambling is causing harm for you or someone close to you, our responsible gambling resources include support services and self-exclusion options.
Your Questions Answered
What are college basketball betting lines?
College basketball betting lines are the prices sportsbooks post on college basketball games. The three main markets are the moneyline (who wins), the spread (the margin), and the total (combined points). Our college basketball odds put all three next to each game so you can compare them across the sportsbooks we track.
Are our college basketball odds free?
Yes. Every game, market, and sportsbook in our college basketball odds is free. Three CBB Best Bets are free every day too, and Dimers Pro shows every Best Bet and Pro pick on the slate.
How do you read college basketball odds?
In American odds format, a minus sign marks the favorite and shows what you stake to win $100, and a plus sign marks the underdog and shows the profit on a $100 bet. At -180 you stake $180 to win $100, and at +150 a $100 bet wins $150. Switch the table to decimal odds for the total return on each $1 staked, or to probability for the break-even rate behind each price.
What does -110 mean in college basketball betting?
It means you stake $110 to win $100. A price of -110 implies 52.4%, so the bet has to win 52.4% of the time to break even. With both sides at -110, the 2.4% above an even 50% on each side is the sportsbook's margin.
What is the consensus line?
The consensus is the average line, price, and probability across the sportsbooks we track. It shows how the market as a whole is pricing a game, so you can see which sportsbook sits above or below it.
Why doesn't every college basketball game have odds at every sportsbook?
Not every sportsbook prices every Division I game. Big-conference games draw lines from most books, while a low-major game may be posted by only a few, sometimes later in the day. Pick your state to see which sportsbooks are available where you bet.
Do the best odds guarantee a win?
No. The trophy marks the best price for each team, which improves what a winning bet pays. It says nothing about which team will win or cover. For our probability on each game, see our College Basketball Predictions.
How often are our college basketball odds updated?
Throughout the day, every day of the season. Prices move with injury news and betting action, so check back near tip-off for the latest numbers.
