Parlay picks based on probability and value

Building a parlay takes a few taps. Building one where every leg deserves its place takes far longer. Looking for plays across multiple sports is a sound way to find valuable lines and prices. More sports means more markets, but it also means more legwork.

And a weak leg costs more in a parlay than in any single bet. Every leg has to win, so one pick made on a hunch can sink four good ones, and each leg you add is another chance for a guess to slip in.

The Parlay Picker is our parlay builder, and it does the hard bit for you. It builds every parlay from our Best Bets, the plays where our probability beats the implied probability of the best available odds. Set the sports, legs, and risk, then swap any leg you'd rather not back.

How our parlay builder works

Our Parlay Picker is an automatic tool, and Dimers Pro members can customize the legs based on their preferences. Every parlay auto-populates with legs from our Best Bets, which are computer-modeled +EV picks priced in your favor.

Every day we generate the best parlay across all sports we cover, which is free to all users.

In each leg, you will see:

  • Bet type: The play the builder has picked for that leg, whether moneyline, spread, total, or player prop.
  • Sport: The sport or competition for that bet.
  • Matchup: The specific game or match for that sport and bet type.
  • Time: The date and time of the matchup.
  • Price: The sportsbook and the odds for that bet.
  • Probability: Our model's estimate of the likelihood of that bet winning.
  • Edge: How much this bet is priced in your favor. It's the difference between our model's probability and the implied probability of the sportsbook's price, expressed as a percentage to show how much positive expected value (+EV) the bet offers.

Free users are limited to the one 3-leg parlay generated each day. Dimers Pro members can customize the parlay by adjusting the following:

  • Sport: Keep all sports selected, or change to only particular sports. The options depend on what sports are in season for the day.
  • Sportsbook: Look for parlays across all sportsbooks and prediction markets, or specify which ones for the builder to scan.
  • Bet type: Look across all or a mix of moneyline, spread, total, and player props.
  • Time window: How far ahead the picker looks. It's set to 72 hours by default, or you can change to 6-hour or 24-hour windows.
  • Legs: How many selections the parlay holds. The default is three, but you can choose between two and six legs.
  • Risk: You can adjust the risk level from low to high. Lower-risk parlays have a higher win probability and a smaller payout. Higher-risk parlays pay more and hit less often. Risk reflects the relationship between probability and potential payout, so even a low-risk parlay can lose.

Select "Generate Parlay" and the picker returns a parlay that fits your settings. Dimers Pro members can change any setting and generate as many parlays as they choose. If a leg isn't for you, swap it for an alternative or remove it, and the other legs stay where they are.

Best parlays for today, tonight, and tomorrow

The 72-hour window takes in the rest of today, tonight's games, and tomorrow's slate, so one setting covers all three.

With Dimers Pro, the risk setting decides the shape of the parlay. At low-medium risk, expect shorter odds on each leg and a parlay that wins more often. Move it higher for a bigger payout and a lower win probability.

With all sports selected, the picker can combine an NFL spread, an NBA total, and an NHL moneyline in one 3-leg parlay.

To keep a parlay inside one league, pick a single sport with Dimers Pro or go to our NFL Parlays, College Football Parlays, NBA Parlays, NHL Parlays, and College Basketball Parlays.

How parlay bets work

A parlay combines two or more bets, called legs, into one wager. Every leg has to win for the parlay to pay. In return, the odds of each leg multiply together, so the payout is far bigger than any single leg would return.

Take three legs at -110. A $10 parlay on them returns about $69.58, which is odds of roughly +596. Each -110 leg needs to win 52.4% of the time to break even, and three legs that each win 52.4% of the time all win together 14.4% of the time. That is exactly the breakeven for +596, so a parlay compounds whatever edge each leg carries, or the lack of one.

If a leg pushes, landing exactly on the spread or total, most sportsbooks drop it and pay the parlay at the odds of the remaining legs. Rules differ by book, especially for player props and voided legs, so check your sportsbook's house rules.

Parlay betting strategy and tips

  1. Count what each extra leg costs: With breakeven legs at -110, two legs win together 27.4% of the time, three legs 14.4%, and five legs 3.9%, or about 1 time in 25.
  2. Compare the parlay's win probability with its price: Convert the parlay odds to an implied probability (+596 implies 14.4%), then multiply the win probabilities of the legs. If three legs sit at 58%, 60%, and 55%, the parlay wins 19.1% of the time, above the 14.4% the price implies. If the product comes in below the implied probability, the price is against you, however good each leg looks.
  3. Watch for legs that move together: Two legs from the same game often share a cause. A favorite covering a big spread and the game going over can both come from one lopsided scoreline, so sportsbooks limit or reprice those combinations. Legs from different games stay independent, which the multiplication above assumes.
  4. Shop the price on every leg: A parlay multiplies prices, so small differences compound. Three legs at -105 instead of -110 lift the payout from about +596 to about +644 for the same three outcomes.

Responsible gambling

Parlays pay more because they win less often. A 3-leg parlay at -110 a leg loses about six times in seven, and a long losing run is normal even when every leg was a fair price. Set a budget before you build, stake less on a parlay than you would on a single bet, and don't add legs to win back a loss.

If gambling stops being fun for you or someone close to you, our responsible gambling page lists support services and self-exclusion options.
