Free college basketball predictions and picks for every game

Men's college basketball has more than 360 Division I teams. A winter Saturday can carry well over 100 games. Nobody can follow every matchup, and a bet placed on a ranking, a familiar name, or last week's score is a bet that the odds account for. We help you understand those prices.

Today's NCAA basketball predictions give every game in the table four numbers, free: each team's win probability, its chance of covering the spread, the chance of the game going over or under the total, and a projected final score. The win probability is the moneyline read behind our college basketball moneyline picks, and the spread and total (over/under) probabilities are measured against the current betting lines.

A probability tells you how likely a result is, and our free picks are the most likely result in each market. All NCAAB and CBB predictions come from one model, run the same way on every game between two Division I teams, ranked or not.

College basketball predictions for tonight and tomorrow

NCAAB predictions tonight run as late as the slate does. A January weeknight can open with an early evening tip in the East and close with a Mountain West or West Coast game after 10 p.m. ET. The late games get the same four numbers as the early ones.

For NCAA basketball predictions tomorrow, pick tomorrow's date in the calendar above the table. Games post 3 days (72 hours) ahead, and every prediction updates throughout the day, every day of the season.

Midweek is where the mid-majors do their business, so a Tuesday night in the Sun Belt gets the same treatment as a Saturday in the Big Ten.

How to use our college basketball predictions & picks

Every game in the table opens into a matchup page. Here is how to read one:

  • Pick a matchup: Click into any game for both teams' win probabilities beside the latest sportsbook prices.
  • Switch markets: Toggle between the moneyline, the point spread, and the over/under for our pregame probability on each.
  • Read the probability: Every prediction is a percentage out of 100.
  • Compare it with the price: The odds sit beside each probability, so you can see where our number and the price disagree.
  • Check the projected score: It’s the final score the model expects for each team, and every probability on the page comes from it.

No prediction is guaranteed. These numbers help you see odds as prices and the probabilities behind them, so your bets can be based on information, not a shrug of the shoulders.

How our college basketball computer picks work

Our college basketball computer picks are pure data science. A machine learning model predicts each team's final score, and every probability on this page comes from those scores.

We built a machine learning model from the ground up, specifically for men's Division I NCAA basketball, and it crunches the following data inputs:

  • Efficiency: Each team's offense and defense, over recent games and the longer run, so a hot week does not pass for a strong season.
  • The opponent: How this specific matchup changes what each team is likely to do.
  • Home or away: The lift of a home crowd and the cost of the road.
  • The venue: Neutral courts count separately. Many November events are played on them, and so is the whole NCAA tournament.
  • Pace and scoring: How fast the two teams play and how many points college games tend to produce, so a fast-tempo shootout and a slow grind get different totals.

Our NCAAB computer picks are built the same way for every game. An expert gives you an opinion on the games they had time to study; the model gives you a probability for all of them.

All NCAA basketball computer predictions update throughout the day, every day of the season.

All our predictions are estimates, not guarantees of success. A team at 70% loses three games in ten. We built our system so that you're making decisions based on price and probability, rather than taking the odds at face value.

How accurate are our college basketball predictions?

Our model is built to project final scores, with each team's efficiency adjusted for pace and opponent. From November 2026, the men's model trains on an expanded set of features from a wider statistical database, so it accounts for more of what decides a game.

A 65% probability means the model expects that result in about 65 of 100 comparable games. It does not mean the result is certain, or that 65 of the next 100 bets will win.

Anyone choosing the best NCAA basketball prediction site should be able to check the numbers against the price, which is why every probability here sits beside the odds.

When the odds imply a lower chance than our model does, that gap is the edge, which we show as a percentage on our Best Bets. For those premium picks, our Sweet Spot signal tracks the bet types and edge ranges where the model has shown a positive return over a sample size, available in full to Dimers Pro members.

College basketball predictions against the spread and over/under

Our NCAA predictions against the spread and on the total both start from the projected final score.

  • Against the spread (ATS): The spread is the gap between the two projected scores and our ATS pick is the model's expected margin. We compare it with the sportsbook spread, using college basketball's historical scoring distributions, to get each team's chance of covering.
  • Over/under: Add the two projected scores together for the expected total. Compared with the sportsbook total, that gives our college basketball over/under predictions.

The projected score is an answer in its own right. Our college basketball score predictions show the final score the model expects for each team, and because the win, spread, and total probabilities all come from it, the three always tell the same story about the game.

Men's March Madness predictions

Once the field is set on Selection Sunday, our NCAA tournament predictions cover the full men's bracket, from the Opening Round to the national championship game. Every game gets the same win probability, spread, total, and projected score as the regular season, and each round's games appear as soon as the matchups are set.

Seeding is the committee's read on a full season. Our NCAA tourney predictions read one game at a time, giving each team's chance of winning this matchup on this neutral floor.

For each team's chances of cutting down the nets in April, see our Men's NCAA Futures.

Responsible gambling

A college basketball Saturday can run from noon past midnight with a new tip-off every few minutes. So it can be tempting to bet on more games than you planned. Set a budget before the first tip and keep to it. Treat a losing bet as money spent rather than something to win back in the next game, and only bet what you can afford to lose.

If gambling is causing harm for you or someone close to you, our responsible gambling resources include support services and self-exclusion options.

Your questions answered

How are computer college basketball picks different from expert picks?

Computer picks come from a model that treats every game the same way, and expert picks come from a person's read on a game. Our machine learning model projects each team's final score, so every Division I game gets a moneyline, spread, and total probability, including the ones no expert has time to study.
