MLB parlays: A step-by-step guide to Dimers' best bets

The MLB Best Bets tool runs every matchup through that model, flags the games where its edge over the market is biggest, and lets you filter down to just the bet type you want.

Here's how to turn that into an actual MLB parlay, step by step.

Step 1: Go to the MLB section on Dimers

Start on Dimers' MLB predictions hub, where every game on the day's slate gets its own model-generated line, win probability, and recommended play.

Step 2: Select "Best Bets"

From the MLB hub, click into "Best Bets" to pull up every edge the model has flagged across the day's games, ranked and ready to filter.

Step 3: Filter for "Spread" bets only

Open the Filter panel and narrow the list down to spread bets specifically. In baseball this market is commonly called the "run line," but on Dimers it's filed under the same "Spread" checkbox used across sports—confirmed directly from the filter panel, which lists Spread, Over/Under, Moneyline, and Other as the bet-type options.

You can choose any market, but for this example we're going to focus on the run lines (spread) as that's where our MLB model is at its best.

Isolating this market keeps every leg of your parlay structured the same way—a team either covers its run line or it doesn't—rather than mixing in totals or moneylines in this example.

Once the filter is applied, Dimers tells you exactly how many qualifying bets are left to build from—in this case, 5.

Step 4: Sort by "Game Time (earliest–latest)"

With the bet type narrowed down, sort the results chronologically so you can see which games lock first.

Sorting this way isn't just tidy—it matters for parlay construction. If you're building a same-day parlay, you want to know which games to target so you're not left trying to track four different start times across the country.

Step 5: Assess the model's findings and assemble your parlay

Now comes the actual analysis. With the list filtered to spreads only and sorted by game time, scan through the model's probability and edge columns for each matchup and pick the legs you want to combine.

A few things stand out here.

Twins +1.5 carries the strongest play of the four—a 66.9% win probability paired with a 6.1% edge, the highest of the group, which is why it's the only leg flagged as a "High Edge" pick. The Reds are next by edge size at 3.7%: the model gives them a 59.6% shot to cover +1.5 against the Padres, comfortably above the roughly 56% implied by the market's -127 price, even without the "High Edge" tag. Angels +1.5 sits close behind at a 3.3% edge, with a 54.3% model probability against a market price implying closer to 51%.

Royals +1.5 is the outlier of the four—no "High Edge" tag and the smallest gap at 2.2%—but the model still leans their way relative to the sportsbook line. Kansas City +1.5 against the Marlins, and even with the market pricing them at a steep -175 (an implied 63.6% chance), the model's 65.8% projection is just enough to keep them in the favorable column.

Putting it together as a parlay

Combine all four legs and here's what you're looking at:

• Combined odds: approximately +806, using the best available price on each leg (the four legs come from different sportsbooks, so this isn't a single-book combined price)

On a $10 stake, +806 would return a profit of roughly $80.60 (a total payout near $90.60) if every leg hits.

It's worth being clear-eyed about what a four-leg parlay actually is, though: every leg has to land for the ticket to pay out, so even a slate of positive-edge bets carries real variance once they're chained together. Reds and Angels, with the thinnest win probabilities of the group, are the legs most likely to be the difference between a full payout and nothing.

Bettors who want to de-risk this same slate could always split it into two two-leg parlays, or bet the legs straight, rather than needing all four to land.
