Saturday's WNBA betting slate features a pair of afternoon games on August 1, and we are diving right back into tonight's best WNBA props with our Dimers Pro insights.
We were 1 rebound shy of a fifth-straight winning night last night, but we swept a perfect 4-for-4 with a +1794 parlay win on the last day before the All-Star Break, now on a 13-6 run across the break, with almost all plus-money bets.
For those checking out this series for the first time, our Dimers Pro insights are the number one tool we've used to find these plays, each supported by team trends, matchups, player tendencies and more.
The Dimers Pro model provides advanced WNBA predictions for every game, from game lines and player props to boxscore projections and more, identifying valuable betting opportunities where we say the sportsbooks are wrong.
That's precisely how we've found tonight's three picks, which can also be played as a +1185 WNBA parlay.
Three bets to make in the WNBA on Saturday, August 1
We've got a two-game afternoon slate, with one game featuring a pair of bets, including two of today's stat leaders in two categories.
Bet: A'ja Wilson 28+ points (+110 on Fanatics)
Game: Aces vs. Sky
Time: 1:00 PM ET
We start off in the first game of the day with our top overall scorer across both games, A'ja Wilson, projected for 32.1 points, clearing her line of 26.5 as our best prop edge of the day.
We can get plus-money on Wilson for one point over her standard line, a mark she's hit in three straight with 33, 28 and 28 points over her past three games, that 38-point outing coming when we last backed her to hit this points mark.
Wilson has hit this in 7 of her last 12 games, including a 30-piece vs. Chicago, who she has another four 30-point games against over the past four seasons. Chicago owns the 11th-ranked scoring defense and saw both Jackie Young and Wilson hit this against them in the same game.
Our projection makes her a small ladder play up to 32 to 35 points.
Bet: Alyssa Thomas 10+ assists (+125 on Fanatics)
Game: Mercury vs. Liberty
Time: 3:00 PM ET
In the second game of the day, we're going with Alyssa Thomas to put up double-digit assists for the fourth time in her past six games, hitting 12, 11 and 15 in those three games.
Thomas is 7th all-time in assists in the WNBA and should move up to sixth by season's end and could find herself in the Top 3 when she calls it a career.
This year, she's averaged 8.3 per game, down from last year's 9.2, but it's the second-best mark of her career, both marks in her two seasons with Phoenix.
She'll get the Liberty tonight, who allow the fourth-most assists per game and have the worst assist/turnover ratio to opponents, two key stats that helped us cash Caitlin Clark's 10+ assists last night and while the superior team, New York hasn't shown much defensive fortitude, allowing 100+ points in 3 of their last 5 and 94+ in all three, including against other losing teams like the Sparks and Sky.
BONUS PLAY: Sabrina Ionescu 4+ threes (+185 on Fanatics)
Game: Mercury vs. Liberty
Time: 3:00 PM ET
This is a play for those willing to go beyond the Dimers data today, and lean into a favorable matchup.
Sabrina Ionescu gets a matchup with the worst three-point defense in the WNBA, with Phoenix allowing 9.9 threes made per game, and the highest opponent 3PT% at 36.9%.
In a previous meeting this season when Ionescu was out, Jonquel Jones and Marine Johannes combined for 10 threes. In their past 10 games, Phoenix allowed 12+ threes four times.
Ionescu hit 5 threes in two of her past three games and while the Dimers model has her at 2.3 projected tonight, that's still the highest mark in this game and second-highest of the day.
Bet this one with caution, but a mini ladder on Ionescu is well in play based on the matchup.
