Week 6 arrives with no shortage of college football betting action, beginning with some Tuesday night action and a fresh set of bye weeks, which means we're back with another look at the most notable angles from Saturday's slate.

That's where Dimers Pro comes in, utilizing our full suite of college football prediction tools to leave no angle uncovered in Week 6.

Best college football games to watch in Week 6

Week 6 has just a pair of ranked-vs-ranked matchups, an undefeated clash of Top 6 teams and a mid-tier matchup of Big Ten opponents.

Dimers' predictive model simulated each game 10,000 times to produce the win probabilities and projected scores below.

#2 Georgia vs. #6 Alabama

College GameDay is in Tuscaloosa for a matchup of unbeatens: No. 2 Georgia vs. No. 6 Alabama.

History favors the Tide. Kirby Smart is 2-7 against his former program, and Georgia hasn't won at Bryant-Denny since 2007.

However, this Georgia team looks well built to change that. Gunner Stockton ranks third nationally in passing efficiency, the defense allows just 57.4 rushing yards per game, and the Dawgs have outscored opponents 70-7 in the first quarter.

Alabama's Keelon Russell has 13 touchdowns and no turnovers over his last three starts. Our model calls it close, giving Alabama 53.1% and projecting a 28-26 Tide win.

#21 UCLA vs. #13 Oregon

No. 21 UCLA is 4-0 in Bob Chesney's first season, averaging 44.8 points per game heading into Oregon vs. UCLA.

Chesney is the former JMU coach who faced Oregon in last year's Playoff, and Dan Lanning has compared these Bruins to Curt Cignetti's 2025 national champion Indiana team.

No. 13 Oregon (3-1) is coming off a 41-27 win over USC and has the nation's third-ranked passing offense. Its defense has been leaky, though, allowing 23.3 points per game.

We give Oregon an 82.6% win probability and a 35-23 projected final. That 12-point margin lands just past the 11.5-point spread, and 58 total points come in under the 59.5 O/U.

#19 USC vs. Penn State

This game isn't ranked-on-ranked but is one of the closest games in Week 6 with Penn State vs. USC.

USC (5-1) brings a Lincoln Riley offense averaging 37.3 points per game but a defense allowing 25.5, while Penn State's pass defense has been elite, allowing just 119.6 yards per game, third-best in the nation.

Their last meeting was a 33-30 Penn State overtime win in 2024 and our model has Penn State at 51.1%, below the 54.1% implied by its -118 price. Its projected 27-26 final is a one-point game, inside the 1.5-point spread.

#1 Texas vs. Oklahoma

In the latest edition of the "Red River Rivalry," No. 1 Texas comes into Dallas at 4-0 behind Arch Manning and a defense that held the Sooners to six points in a 23-6 win last October, with three interceptions.

Oklahoma is 2-2 and still recovering from a blowout loss to Georgia, where John Mateer's turnovers led to reported talk of benching him.

Texas has injury questions of its own: Justus Terry, Nick Townsend and Jordan Coleman are all sidelined, though Hollywood Smothers is expected back.

Dimers' model gives Texas a 77.3% win probability in our Texas vs. Oklahoma prediction, close to the 76.2% implied by the -320 moneyline. It projects a 25-16 final, a 9-point margin that sits just past the 8.5-point spread.

  • No. 13 Oregon -11.5 (52.2%) vs. No. 21 UCLA

  • Kansas State -2.5 (49.1%) vs. No. 22 Houston
  • Penn State -1.5 (48.6%) vs. No. 19 USC

Top college football players to watch in Week 6

These are players who need to be on your radar this weekend, whether for player prop betting or keeping tabs on the Heisman race:

RB Chauncey Bowens (Georgia)

The Bulldogs RB has made the most of his opportunities. While he ranks fourth in total rushing yards while racking up the team's most carries (35), he's racked up 6 touchdowns over his past 3 games, 1 more than "lead back" Nate Frazier.

After leaving the game vs. Vanderbilt with an injury, Bowens returned and is on track for Week 6 against a Bama defense that ranks 9th in rushing with 4 TDs allowed.

Dimers' model finds a scoring edge on Bowens, both for an anytime touchdown at 55.4% and plus money, and for a pair of touchdowns at 16.2%.

QB CJ Carr (Notre Dame)

Notre Dame's QB CJ Carr has thrown for 13 touchdowns and 1 interception so far this season, landing 4th in the current Heisman Trophy race based on odds (+750).

He has a strong lead over Ole Miss QB Trinidad Chambliss in 5th at +1600, and barely trails Keelon Russell and Darian Mensah at +700 and +650.

The challenge will be chasing down Ohio State WR Jeremiah Smith who is the -105 favorite.

But, based on our model's predictions for Notre Dame, Carr is expected to put on a show, with a 52% chance that Notre Dame covers their massive -37.5 point spread, and a projected team total of 46 leaves ample room for Carr to throw more touchdowns, or rush for one of his own, something he's done in 3 straight.

Dimers' Sweet Spots to look for in Week 6

The "Sweet Spot" is a Dimers Pro feature that identifies the specific betting markets and edge ranges where our model is returning a positive profit over the course of the season.

Across game lines and props, these markets below are where we are seeing the biggest returns so far this season, with moneylines at over a 10% edge leading the way.

That means when we most disagree with the books, we're also the most right.

College Football National Championship update: Who will win it all?

Georgia is still the Dimers favorite to win the National Championship at 21.0%, though down from 23.1% last week. At +550, the Bulldogs still carry a 5.6% edge over the market

The headline this week is Indiana as the Hoosiers climbed to 15.6% and now have the biggest edge of any contender.

Here's how the top five stack up after Week 5 according to Dimers' National Championship Predictions. Fair odds are what each team's price should be based on its Dimers probability; when the best available odds are longer than fair odds, there's value.

Notre Dame5-011.8%+620+747-2.1%
Miami (FL)5-011.0%+750+809-0.8%

Georgia (21.0%, +550): The No. 2 Bulldogs moved to 5-0 with a 38-14 win over Vanderbilt. Gunner Stockton threw for 295 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions, and Georgia again drew six first-place votes in the AP poll

Indiana (15.6%, +1100): The Hoosiers routed Rutgers 47-15. Josh Hoover threw four touchdowns and still hasn't thrown an interception this season, and Turbo Richard ran for 204 yards on 13 carries. Voters still dropped Indiana a spot to No. 7, while the model moved the other way, raising the Hoosiers from 13.1% to 15.6%. The best price shortened from +1200 to +1100 (8.3% implied), but that remains the biggest edge on the board at +7.3%.

Ohio State (12.8%, +475): The Buckeyes passed the Kinnick test, beating No. 14 Iowa 31-14. Jeremiah Smith had 11 catches for 206 yards and two scores, becoming Ohio State's all-time leader in both receptions and receiving touchdowns. Ohio State's probability rose from 10.5% to 12.8%, and its negative edge improved from -6.2% to -4.6%.

Notre Dame (11.8%, +620): The Irish held at No. 3 after a 37-26 win at North Carolina, where CJ Carr accounted for five touchdowns. Dimers' model wasn't impressed: Notre Dame fell from 15.5% to 11.8%, the biggest drop in the top five. Last week's +2.2% edge has flipped to -2.1%, and +620 now sits short of +747 fair odds.

Miami (FL) (11.0%, +750): The No. 4 Hurricanes dominated Clemson 41-13. Darian Mensah accounted for two touchdowns, and the defense piled up six sacks plus a pick-six from JJ Dunnigan. Miami rose from 9.6% to 11.0%, and its price shortened from +800 to +750. The Hurricanes are off this week before hosting Florida State on Oct. 17.
