See how a DraftKings Sportsbook bettor turned a $500 bonus bet into $80,000 on a 10-leg Lions-Bills parlay.

Huge NFL same game parlay win with DraftKings.
Buffalo's Highmark Stadium set the scene for one of 2026's best NFL parlay wins on Thursday Night Fooball.

A DraftKings Sportsbook same-game parlay from the Lions-Bills matchup is making the rounds on social media this week, with the sportsbook's own account touting it as "the best parlay win of the season." The ticket, a 10-leg same-game NFL parlay built entirely around Detroit at Buffalo, wagered with a $500 bonus bet and paid out at $80,000, a 160-1 return.

The final score explains a lot about why it hit. Buffalo won 41 to 31, a 72 point shootout in which both offenses were rolling. That is exactly the kind of environment we look at closely here at Dimers, because it is where our pregame NFL player projections earn their keep.

Checking the individual legs against those numbers turns up a more interesting story than a lucky longshot ticket.

Most of these NFL props were not moonshots at all.

Several were near coin flips or better before kickoff. The parlay's size came from stacking volume, not from nailing a string of low probability outliers.

The 10 legs, checked against the model

Run the math on just the eight legs our models actually price out, using the touchdown percentages and reasonable hit rates around the yardage lines, and the combined pregame probability of those eight alone lands somewhere around 1 in 400.

Layer in two passing touchdown props for two capable, high volume passers (Allen and Goff both had plenty of scoring support in a 72 point game), and the full ticket's true odds were almost certainly longer than the 160-1 payout DraftKings offered. Much longer.

That means this ticket was likely rarer than a fair line would have paid for. The 160-1 price baked in a healthy house margin rather than reflecting the bettor's actual, longer odds of clearing all 10 legs.

The real story: It was one miracle, not 10

The angle that gets lost in the headline is that eight of the 10 legs were not really longshots individually. They were bets on both offenses playing to form in a game that turned into a shootout.

Gibbs and Cook both clearing their combined yardage numbers, Allen picking up his rushing total, St. Brown hitting his target on receptions: those are the kinds of props that hit because the score was 41 to 31 and not 20 to 13.

Once a game turns into a shootout, correlated same-game props tend to fall together, which is exactly why sportsbooks price these parlays at a premium and exactly why bettors chase them.

The genuinely improbable part of the ticket was the two tight end touchdown props.

Dalton Kincaid at 31.7% and Sam LaPorta at 28.0% both scoring in the same game, two starting tight ends from opposite teams reaching the end zone in the same contest, is a real coincidence, not a game script inevitability.

If there is a single number to marvel at when this ticket comes up, it is that pairing, not the 10 leg total.

Context worth noting

Posts like this one are common in sportsbook content. A viral hero bet framing is standard promotional material for DraftKings and similar operators, and the math above suggests this result, while real and lucrative for the bettor, was closer to everything breaking right in a high scoring game than to defeating 160-1 odds through skill or foresight.

That distinction matters for anyone using our projections to shop for value on same-game NFL parlays.

And as always, the original post's responsible gambling helpline footer is a reminder that these results are the exception, not the model.
